NFOGM Fagdag and Annual Meeting 2026

On 19 March 2026, professionals from across the Norwegian continental shelf will gather at Scandic Stavanger Airport for this year’s NFOGM Fagdag and Annual Meeting. The event remains one of the most important arenas for experts working with quantity and quality measurement across the energy sector.

Flow measurement continues to evolve rapidly as the industry adapts to new energy carriers, strengthened regulatory frameworks, and advancing digital technologies. This year’s program reflects these developments, offering deep technical insights and discussions that highlight the sector’s most critical challenges and opportunities.

A Program Reflecting Industry Priorities

The 2026 Fagdag builds on NFOGM’s core focus areas—measurement of oil, natural gas, hydrogen, and CO₂—while also addressing new and emerging technical demands. Participants can expect expert presentations on a range of high‑relevance topics, including:

  • Measurement errors and reallocation from a juridical perspective
  • CO₂ tax measurement uncertainty budgets
  • Hydrogen metering experiences
  • Advances in multiphase metering
  • Live and real-time measurement uncertainty
  • Metrology infrastructure in Norway
  • Calibration gases and new ISO standards

Collectively, these topics underscore the industry’s current direction: enabling higher accuracy, improved transparency, and future‑ready measurement systems across traditional and emerging energy streams.

Annual Meeting and Member Dinner

Following the fagdag, NFOGM will hold its Annual Meeting at 16:00. All members are encouraged to attend and engage in discussions on the organisation’s ongoing work and strategic focus. The day concludes with the traditional member dinner—a valuable opportunity for networking, collaboration, and strengthening connections within the measurement community.
